Telling the story

The style of photography we take on your special day is known as reportage or documentary photography. It is a means of telling your beautiful story through a natural documentary style rather than the more traditional staged classic wedding photography. To give you an example when its time to cut the cake a traditional wedding photographer would ask you to pose in order to take the photographs where we would take the photographs naturally as the scene unfolds without you being asked to pose or change positions.

There is much more to it than it sounds. We will spend time getting to know you, ensure we have a great understanding of how your special day will unfold, spending time at the venues you have chosen for your special day and understanding the light, backdrops available and finding the best perspectives to photograph from.

The photographs from our artistic approach will be raw, candid and full of emotion so that when you look back at your album you will be rewarded with all those beautiful memories, sounds and smells from your special day.
